ACCOLADES:
90 Points "Chateau de Gourgazaud has been consistently delivering beautiful southern French reds for decades. What a treat for less than $13 since the 2009 is the best for a long while with an elegant palate from syrah dominated fruit. The nose shows black cherry fruit with prune and herbal tones and oak spice notes. The palate feels light and vibrant though it is full bodied and delicately balanced with excellent length and purity. Try with rack of lamb. Best 2011 to 2015". - Steve Thurlow, WineAlign.com

89 Points - Natalie MacLean
"Stunning for this price point! Reminds me of classic Bordeaux: woodsmoke, cassis and leather with some black pepper on the nose. Full-bodied and smooth. Layers of terrific flavour. This wine is a blend of syrah and mourvèdre grapes".

89 Points - Toronto Life, January 2012
“The hearty syrah-mourvèdre blends of sunny Languedoc in southern France are ripe in any year, but 2009 produced pure blackberry aromas with pepper, gun flint and licorice. This one is smooth and rich with youthful tannins, so age it a year or two".
